ZESCO United Celebrates 2024/25 Season Stars at Awards Gala

ZESCO United Football Club recently hosted their 2024/25 Season Players’ Awards Gala on Sunday, 18 May 2025, celebrating the standout performers across their various teams.

For the ZESCO UNITED FC senior men’s team, Abraham Siakombo was crowned the Player Of The Year.

The award for Most Consistent Player went to Dennis Nya, who also proved popular with the fans, securing the title of Fans Player Of The Year. Leonard Mulenga was recognised as the Most Disciplined Player.

Looking to the future, David Simukonda received the award for Young Player Of The Year.

The Top Scorers/Golden Boot award was shared between three players, Freddy Micheal, Abraham Siankobo, and George Ngoma, who each netted 6 goals.

The ZESCO Ndola Girls FC also saw their key players celebrated.

Goalkeeper Annie Namonje was crowned Player of the Year while Avell Chitundu took home the Fans Player Of The Year.

Mable Bwalya was awarded the Most Consistent Player, while Dorothy Yambayamba received the recognition for Most Disciplined Player.

A remarkable achievement was noted in the scoring charts, with Penelope Mulubwa winning the Top Scorer/Golden Boot award having scored an impressive 35 goals.

The Young Player Of The Year for the girls’ team was Mary Mbewe.
