We’re Ready for Morocco – Kings Kangwa

Chipolopolo midfielder Kings Kangwa has described Monday’s World Cup qualifier against Morocco as a “difficult but exciting” test, urging Zambians to rally behind the team as they chase a crucial victory in Group E.
Speaking from camp in Ndola, the Hapoel Be’er Sheva star said the team was leaving no stone unturned in their preparations for the clash at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
“A difficult game, a very exciting game. This is the game we are looking forward to, we are ready, we are doing everything and we can’t wait for Monday,” Kangwa said.
The 25-year-old acknowledged the tough conditions and challenges faced by the Chipolopolo but insisted that belief and home support could make the difference.
“So far so good, it’s been good, very hot but we are getting used to it. It’s very difficult, it’s been difficult for our team but like I said we are trying everything. So please stick with us, stay with us and we are waiting for you. Please come to give us support and we will do our best,” he appealed to fans.
Kangwa, who has been in impressive form for both club and country, said he is personally focused on maintaining his high standards as Zambia targets a must-win result against the Atlas Lions.
“Of course I am doing my best, this is my plan, to try by all means to be there, to take the same motivation, the same preparation to bring it here also. I think I am in good shape and I will do my best to try to help the team,” he added.
Zambia hosts Morocco on Monday in what has been billed as a titanic Group E clash, with Avram Grant’s men needing victory to keep their World Cup dream alive.
