Not the result we had hoped for – Great Kalu

Former Zambian international and Africa Cup-winning FAZ president Kalusha Bwalya has saluted Chipolopolo fans for their massive turnout during Monday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Morocco at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
In a social media post, Bwalya described the atmosphere as “beautiful scenes of support on a Monday afternoon at 3pm,” thanking fans for rallying behind the national team.

Although Zambia fell short in the clash, the 1988 African Footballer of the Year said the passion of the supporters demonstrated the unifying power of football.
“Not the result we had hoped for. Love of the game won. We soldier on,” he wrote, encouraging Chipolopolo to remain focused in their qualification campaign.
