Nkana Commences Stadium Seat Installation at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium

Nkana Football Club has announced the commencement of bucket seat installations at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola, as part of efforts to replace seats damaged during last season’s Kitwe derby.

In a statement, the club confirmed that the project is underway, with fans in Ndola also lending a hand in the process.

“Operation Stadium seats installation underway at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola. Ba Kalampa Ndola, well done for helping out and working alongside those installing the chairs,” the post read.

The club further clarified that contrary to earlier figures, the total number of seats procured stands at 2,816, ten more than initially announced.

Nkana emphasized that the initiative is not only about restoring stadium infrastructure but also about reinforcing the importance of responsible fan behavior to protect public property and ensure a safe, enjoyable match-day experience for all.

The Kitwe giants are hopeful the refurbishment exercise will boost the match-day atmosphere while preserving the iconic stadium’s standards ahead of the upcoming MTN Super League fixtures.
