Napsa Stars Eye First Win of Season Against Mines United

Napsa Stars head coach Sipho Mumbi says his team is determined to secure their first victory of the MTN Super League season when they face Mines United tomorrow at Nkoloma Stadium.

The Pensioners are still searching for a breakthrough win after falling 2-0 to defending champions Power Dynamos last weekend. Both Napsa Stars and Mines United remain winless heading into Week Five, increasing the stakes for Sunday’s encounter.

Mumbi admitted that last week’s defeat was disappointing but urged his players and supporters to remain patient.

“It’s not easy if you haven’t won any games and losing in such a manner against Power Dynamos,” he told the club’s media. “But we have to regroup, regain our confidence, and look forward to the next challenge.”

He acknowledged the pressure on his players but emphasized the importance of the club’s long-term vision.

“Pressure will always be there, but you have to trust the process. A win on Sunday will boost our confidence and give us momentum in the league,” Mumbi said.

The coach added that while the week had been tough for players and supporters alike, preparations for tomorrow’s match have gone well, and the team is ready to respond positively on the pitch.
