Morocco Coach Regragui Confident Ahead of Zambia Clash

Morocco coach Walid Regragui expressed confidence ahead of his team’s Group E FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zambia at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Monday at 15:00.

Speaking during a pre-match press briefing, Regragui said, “We have come here already qualified, we know what we have to do, we are Morocco, and we have come here to win because we are Morocco.”

Acknowledging Zambia’s ambitions, he added, “I know Zambia wants to win to confirm their stature in Africa. I know that it will be a good game tomorrow.”

Regragui also revealed that he plans to rotate his squad due to a busy schedule, stating, “We have had a difficult time; we played a game on Friday and had a long flight. I will rest 80% of the players; others like Hakimi have games in Europe and need to recover. However, the players who will come will be competitive.”

Morocco enters the match already qualified at the top of Group E with 18 points, while Tanzania sits second with 10 points. Zambia is third on six points, and Congo lies at the bottom with just one point.

The stage is set for what promises to be a competitive encounter as the Chipolopolo look to secure their position in the group.
