Kundananji Joins Copper Queens Camp Ahead of Friendlies

Zambia Women’s National Team forward Racheal Kundananji has joined the Copper Queens training camp ahead of their international friendlies against Botswana and South Africa, bringing the number of assembled players to 23.
The Bay FC striker arrived at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport on Monday afternoon at 14:35, following the earlier arrival of fellow USA-based stars Barbra Banda, Grace Chanda, and Prisca Chilufya, who play for Orlando Pride.
Kundananji’s addition leaves only one player, Racheal Nachula of Israeli club Hapoel Jerusalem, yet to report to camp, as coach Nora Häuptle finalizes preparations with her 24-member squad.
The Copper Queens are set to face Botswana on 31 May before taking on South Africa on 3 June in Pretoria. Both matches fall within the FIFA international window and form part of Zambia’s preparations for the 2025 TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), which will be held in Morocco from 5 to 26 July.
