Kansanshi Dynamos Technical Bench Under Scrutiny as Sponsors Demand Improvement

The Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club technical bench, led by head coach Zeddy Saileti, has come under close scrutiny from the club’s sponsor, Kansanshi Mining PLC, following a string of disappointing results in the MTN Super League.

In a joint statement issued by Kansanshi Dynamos management and Kansanshi Mining PLC, the club expressed deep concern over both recent performances and the acts of violence and unruly behavior exhibited by a section of supporters during the Week Nine fixture against Mines United at Independence Stadium.

“While we understand the frustration that comes with recent results, resorting to violence or disruptive conduct is unacceptable and goes against the values of respect, unity, and sportsmanship that our club stands for,” the statement read.

The club apologized to Mines United FC, their players, and supporters for the incident, reaffirming its commitment to fair play, accountability, and performance excellence.

It further revealed that the Executive Committee had given the technical bench and players a clear directive to deliver at least seven points from the next three fixtures, including the match against Mines United.

“A review will follow this period, and decisions will be made accordingly,” the statement warned.

The club’s executive has since engaged Kansanshi Mining PLC management, who continue to take an active interest in the team’s performance, signaling possible changes should results fail to improve.

Players have also been urged to take full responsibility and show greater hunger, discipline, and pride when representing the club.

Meanwhile, the statement strongly condemned fan violence, emphasizing that such actions tarnish the club’s reputation and could invite serious sanctions from football authorities.

“We urge all supporters to channel their passion positively and embody the true spirit of the Mabanga Boys — fearless, united, and respectful,” the statement concluded.

Kansanshi Dynamos are winless after nine matches losing three matching and drawing six times to sit 15th on the log table with six points.
