Forest Rangers Appoint Boyd Mulwanda as New Head Coach, Raphael Bwalya Named CEO

Forest Rangers Football Club has announced the appointment of Boyd Mulwanda as the club’s new Head Coach, marking the start of a new era for the Ndola-based side as they target a return to the Zambian Premier League.
Mulwanda, who brings vast coaching experience and a clear tactical vision, takes over from Matthews Ndlovu, with Kennedy Kashobondo named as First Assistant Coach. The rest of the technical bench remains unchanged.
According to a statement released by the club, Mulwanda’s appointment is part of a broader restructuring aimed at strengthening both the technical and administrative sides of the team.
In a significant development, the club also unveiled Raphael Bwalya as Forest Rangers’ first-ever Chief Executive Officer (CEO) — a newly created position designed to enhance professionalism and streamline operations. Bwalya, who has served Forest Rangers for over eight years in various capacities, brings deep institutional knowledge and proven administrative expertise to his new role.
“Coach Mulwanda brings a wealth of experience and a clear vision that aligns with the club’s ambition to return to the Zambian Premier League,” the statement read. “We are equally confident that Mr. Bwalya’s leadership as CEO will ensure greater efficiency and accountability in managing club affairs.”
The club expressed gratitude to outgoing coach Matthews Ndlovu and assistant Dennis Makinka for their service, wishing them success in their future endeavors.
Forest Rangers said they are entering this new phase with “optimism, unity, and renewed commitment to excellence both on and off the pitch.”
