Chansa Eyes Bigger Stage After Golden Boot Triumph

Fresh off winning his first-ever MTN Super League Golden Boot, Titus Chansa has already set his sights on greater goals for the upcoming season, including another league title and a place in the Zambia National Team.
Chansa, who stunned many with his consistent scoring form, ended the 2024/25 campaign as joint top scorer with 13 goals, sharing the accolade with Nkana’s Idris Mbombo. While Mbombo added to his 2018 tally, it was a debut honour for Chansa, marking a significant rise for the striker who began the season with Mutondo Stars.
After scoring nine goals in the first half of the season, Chansa made a high-profile move to Power Dynamos during the January transfer window on a one-year loan. Despite struggling with injury in the second round, missing over nine matches, the 24-year-old still managed to net four more goals and play a key part in Power’s league triumph.
“It feels good and it has motivated me to work extra hard in the coming seasons,” Chansa told ZPL media.
With his loan at Power Dynamos set to expire in December, Chansa is making no secret of his ambition: he wants to score more goals, win more titles, and break into the Chipolopolo setup.
“My goals for next season are to maintain the same hard work, especially scoring more goals, helping the team achieve in winning the Super League, and also to be part of the Zambia National Soccer Team.”
Despite injuries slowing him down, Chansa embraced the intense competition in the race for the Golden Boot and drew inspiration from it.
“The competition was there in every game… I was up against players who’ve been in the race before, but it kept me going.”
